Lebanon
Overloaded with inhabitants and with issues of far more importance than birds and their conservation, Lebanon is at the same time an exciting birding destination as well as a source of deep concern. A small mountainous country crammed in between the vast Syrian desert and the Mediterranean, it is on the crossroads for both bird migration and contesting politics.

the websites of A Rocha and SPNL (the BirdLife partner) contain some useful information on birds and sites in the country.

This Little Bunting was trapped and ringed at Aammiq marshes in the
Bekaa Valley in November 2010, the 2nd or 3rd record for Lebanon.
